The Palatine Pioneers are a Boy's Middle School (Grades 6 - 8) Rugby Club. We are a member of USA Rugby and the Illinois Youth Rugby Association.
We play tackle rugby in the spring season only from March through May against other Middle School teams from Arlington Heights, Lake Forest, Naperville, St. Charles & Western Springs.
A certified athletic trainer will be in attendance at each Palatine Pioneers Rugby Club match per agreement with AthletiCo Inc.

The coaches & administrators of the Palatine Pioneers Rugby Club are strongly committed to introducing the sport of Rugby in a safe, enjoyable manner. Safety, Sportsmanship & Skill Development are the keys to developing a lifelong love of the game.
The fitness & skills rugby players develop carry over well into other sports as well as many specific benefits for Football players.

The Palatine Pioneers are running a Coed Non-Contact Flag Rugby Camp on Monday afternoons from January 12 - March 2, 2009 for elementary & middle school boys & girls through the Palatine Park District. Please see the program description on Page 53 of the Winter 2009 Palatine Park District Catalog.
This Coed Non-Contact Indoor Program will be similar to Rugby Camps & Clinics the Palatine Pioneers have run in the past for the Hoffman Estates, Northbrook & Palatine Park Districts.
